Another race and another cookout, good times and tight racing are what you’ll get in WNC these days. Since I was racing my usual vivid recollection of crucial details is a little light this time, but I will do my best.
Newcomer Jason “Too” Quickel finally got to ride with the WNC crew and promptly stirred up a dust cloud in turn one, unfortunately he also hurt his leg so his debut probably wasn’t what he imagined. The Bad Boy continued his winning ways and later unveiled his new race monicker, you heard it here first…Smoochie-Poo . Personally I’m going to stick with the Bad Boy Vannoy because I can’t bring myself to write that ever again.
Luca Shaw, Andrew Weidel, and the “Banks Brothers” Jaxon and Eathon all picked up wins in their respective races, which left us with the ever growing Cruiser Class to finish off a great day of racing. With almost a full gate to contend with it was decided to take it to a Main (plus it tired out those who doubled up) this T.O is always thinking. After three close heats it was new Cruiser rider Josie and Loren ( I need to train more) Lanter who were dispatched to the spectator area. In the finale it was all Lewis (who was riding a lot like the Bad Boy, followed by Long-Gone-Zales, Matty-Flats-Borton, The Fury-ous one and in fifth it was all Italian Stallion Bonessi.
Once we got the racing out of the way we fired up the grill and ate way more than we needed to…Good-Times.
Again a shout out to the Grill-Master Moss for another MVP performance on the tongs, this guy’s talents never cease to amaze all of us at the track. Singer, patty flipper and weenie roaster his possibilities are infinite.
Till next time:
Adieu (that means See Ya in French)
