Add a Regional Race in Georgia to the Holiday weekend and you never know who is going to show up at
the local WNC rodeo, but with the promise of some free grub afterwards this T.O knew we would have
some kind of race, or just a BBQ and lots of food, definitely a “Win-Win” situation.

In the end we had a small but dedicated group of New Riders and some serious Plate chasers honing in on
Grands, always a fun mix.

MOTO # 1
The Bad Boy is Back and had the rest of this group suffering in his wake. “Long Gone Gonzales” had a consistent day and scored the
two spot, while Matty “Flats” Borton may have been distracted by the “Fury” in his rear-view all day and could only muster the “Tres Hombres” spot. Jason Leffew over from Morristown rounded it out in the five spot.

MOTO # 2

We might have to start calling Josie the “Black Widow” as week to week she keeps killing whoever we throw into her web. The last time we raced here she gave Mr Lanter a lesson in corner etiquette, and this week it was Adam “Bomb” Burkart and Chance Leffew’s turn to feel the wrath of some “Weaver-Vegas Girl Power”, as they were left scrambling for the two and three spots.

MOTO # 3
The Cager and Jack show got upstaged this week by newcomer Andrew Weidel who used his size advantage out of the gate, to get a lead, and then rode like he was being chased by two little Badgers…Because he was, and they gnawed at his heels all day long. Cale Ogle rounded out the Moto and looks smoother every week, soon he will be Badger bait too.

MOTO #4
I threatened to let someone shave Jaxon Banks head if he lost, but lately nobody has anything for this “Mop Top”, so his hair-do remains intact. Behind the “Hairy” Dude, Skipper Moss and Tripp Plaaaaaayer battled all day for the two spot with Skip pulling it out in the third heat with a coast to coast run. Isaac Weidel “hopped” in for the four spot.

MOTO # 5
Rocky Balboa and Apollo Creed could not have put on a better show than our two heavyweights today. At a combined age of 8 and a combined weight of … “a bag of flour”, Ethan Banks and Owen Riedesel traded the first two heats then dropped into the gate for the third and deciding dash to the line. When the dust settled and the “paparazzi” cleared it was Ethan squeaking out the win completing the Bank’s Brothers domination of our last two Motos.

Thanks to everyone who helped out this weekend. Special thanks to Billy “KissThe Cook” Moss for slaving over the grill, the food was so good I think I over ate…Go figure eh!
